Tutors have 24 hours to respond to lessons scheduled with them either by confirming, rescheduling or cancelling the lesson. This timeframe has been set because we know that when a learner schedules a lesson, they expect a reply as soon as possible.
If a tutor does not respond within this 24-hour timeframe, the platform creates two new lessons for the learner with two different tutors selected for the learner by the LIM Top Tutor Algorithm (a tool that indicates which tutors are ideal according to a learner’s needs and preferences). If the learner prefers to schedule another lesson with the initial tutor, the 24-hour response time rule will not apply so the learner can wait until the tutor responds to their request.
