Each level test response is scored based on proficiency, from not being able to answer at all to answering perfectly. With these scores, the learner’s speaking, listening, reading and writing skills are determined according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), a standard that defines learner proficiency with ranges from A1 to C2. You can learn more about CEFR in our Tutor Guidebook.
The tutor can score the written and oral tests on the Lessons page and in the Online Lesson Space. The score for the oral test should be entered when the tutor hears the learner’s answer during the lesson. The written test should not be scored during the lesson, it should be scored before or after the lesson (after only if it is not submitted by the learner before the lesson).
The tutor and learner will receive the results of the level test via email as soon as both the Written Level Test and Oral Level Test scores are submitted by the tutor.
