In comparison to other platforms which require unpaid teaching time and charge high fees,
here at LIM we:
1) keep fees as low as possible
2) pay tutors for all lessons
3) reward tutors who refer students to the platform
The LIM fee for our most commonly purchased package is 6.25% and we waive our fee when students sign up with a tutor's referral code. We believe that tutors who do the work to bring new students to the platform deserve 100% of the student's payments.
Tutors can also set any lesson price (and change it at any time) for students they refer. So you can charge one student $20/hr and another $10/hr and earn the full amount from every lesson.
To refer students to the platform, please follow these steps:
1) Login to your Tutor Profile and click on the menu item that says "Invite Students Keep 100% of payments from referred students". It will take you to this page: limlessons.com/en/invite-friends. On this page, you will see your referral code as a clickable button to copy it and 3 icons to share your referral code and scheduling link on Facebook, Twitter or via email.
2) To share via email, click the email icon. This will launch your email app and open an email with the subject "Schedule a lesson with me on LIM" and in the email body you will see your scheduling link. Make sure to paste your referral code here and ask your student to use it when they sign up with the scheduling link.
Your scheduling link allows students to sign up and be taken immediately to scheduling a lesson with you. Any student who signs up with your referral code will also be able to modify the lesson price in the checkout screen (there will be an "edit" button by the price - they just need to click this button, modify the price and click save).
3) After your student has signed up with your referral code, their profile will appear on your Learners page. You can schedule a lesson with them by clicking the "Schedule A Lesson" button. You will be able to modify the price of any scheduled lesson from your Unconfirmed Lessons page (limlessons.com/en/lessons/unconfirmed).
