Why aren't learners confirming the lessons I schedule with them?

On our platform, learners can browse all tutors on the Tutors page or request their top 5 tutors. When they request their top 5 tutors, an algorithm shows the learner the top 5 tutors best suited for their needs.

When a tutor is among the top 5 tutors for a learner, this tutor will see this learner on their Potential Learners page and can schedule a lesson with them. This option to schedule a lesson can help tutors get more learners–however, it is not a guarantee since the learner may choose a different tutor or for any other reason decide not to confirm the lesson scheduled by the tutor.

For this reason, scheduling lessons with Potential Learners is 100% optional. We understand that if a tutor is not seeing these lessons convert to confirmed lessons, they may choose to stop scheduling with Potential Learners. Scheduling these lessons is an option for tutors because it has led to confirmed lessons and new students, but that does not mean it will happen in all cases.
